    • A dirty filter will allow contaminants into your oil. This causes damage and can reduce the fuel efficiency of your vehicle. It is an essential during a car service.

  • Top up power steering fluid

    • This is often overlooked during a service. This is the fluid that transmits power in your vehicles steering. We top up or drain and fill depending on what your car needs.

  • Check clutch/brake fluid

    • Brake fluid serves as a lubricant for all moveable parts. It also helps to prevent corrosion. It is important that brake fluid does not go over boiling point, as it can turn to vapour and result in bubbles which can result in brake failure. Similar, the clutch fluid can affect the clutch engagement. We ensure everything is checked so your car runs smoother.

  • Check timing belt / chain.

    • One of the important things to check on the car. Your timing belt controls the camshafts in the engine. It can be very costly to repair the damage if a timing belt snaps, so it is very important to check this. Our professional mechanics check this for you.

  • Check auto transmission fluid

    • In automatic cars, cars with self-shifting transmission, this serves a number of functions. Our experts check that levels are correct and if not, they make sure it is during your car service.

  • Top up gear box oil

    • This is a lubricant to protect the gears in your vehicle. Again, we ensure levels are correct before you leave.

  • Check fuel filter

    • This filters out any dirt or rust from your fuel. Fuel can become contaminated with a number of different materials. If these get into your cars system, they can cause havoc with your pump and injectors. Checking your fuel filter regularly also means that your vehicle can run more efficiently.

  • Check spark plugs

    • When you turn the key in your ignition to start it, your engine receives a spark of electricity. This ignites the fuel and air in the engine, which gets things started. It goes without saying that if your spark plugs fail, your car will not start. These are cheap and easy to replace, so we do this on every car service.

  • Check air filter

    • As mentioned, your car needs both fuel and air to run. The air filter purifies the air that enters the engine, keeping out any bits of dirt etc. that may contaminate your engine.

  • Top up coolant anti-freeze

    • Antifreeze is exactly that, it stops the water in your cars cooling system from freezing. This can cause issues if this happens, as water expands. It can cause a lot of damage to the radiator and a number of other car parts. Coolant is the opposite, it prevents overheating.

    • Your vehicles car cooling system is essential to keeping your car running efficiently. If your engine overheats, you can be left stuck at the side of the road. We ensure there are no problems and everything is running smoothly.

  • Check front and rear side and main lights

    • Again, another thing you need to have in working order for your car to be legally allowed on the road. It can be tricky to get in at the lights in some models. We have worked on every make and model through the years, so we can do this with ease.

  • Check indicators/hazard lights

    • Another requirement, you must have working indicators and hazard lights. They allow other drivers to know what you are doing.

  • Check fog and number plate lights

    • These lights can often be overlooked. For your own safety and the safety of other drivers, you must ensure you have working fog lights. Your number plate lights must also be working in order for you to pass an NCT.

    • These are easy to check and easy for us to replace. They are essential so that other drivers know what you are doing.

    • If you have malfunctioning wipers, you can reduce your visibility on the road. This can cause serious accidents. We check and replace if needed.

  • Check handbrake

    • We check for excessive wear. We also check the angle of the break and see if it rolls easily. This ensures you have safe control over your vehicle.

  • Check door locks and hinges

    • If these need lubrication we do it, making sure there are no annoying noises or squeaks. .

  • Check battery

    • We check the performance of your battery. If it is not putting out the correct amps, you may need a new battery. It can prevent you from being stranded somewhere with no power. We do recommend that you keep jump leads or other appropriate measures in your car.

  • Check tyre depth

    • The legal minimum requirement is 1.6 mm. This is for your safety and the safety of others. If you are unsure how to this, don’t worry, we check this during your car service.
